Hear us O Lord; we want to praise you with all that is within us.  We are clothed with joy today because you give us peace.  Your goodness Almighty God is great towards us.  In the shelter of your presence you hide us.  In your dwelling you keep us safe from the wiles and snares of the devil.  Praise be to your name O  God forever….  For you have in your faithfulness, showered us with your wonderful love, mercy and grace.

Almighty God, anoint your Praying Apostle Patrick Antoine this month of May with a special oil of joy.  Shower him with peace, love, favor, and wealth.  Hold him with your right hand and guide him with your counsel.  Arm him with strength and comfort his soul with your Holy Spirit.  Be his fortress and his rock in whom he takes refuge.  Crown him with love and compassion, and satisfy his desires with good things.    

Almighty God, you know how you formed our Praying Apostle; renew his youth like the eagle.  May his meditation be pleasing unto you dear Lord.  Hear his prayer O God; listen to the words of his mouth.   May his heart stir a noble theme as he implores before your throne.  Turn his tongue into a skillful writer and anoint his lips with grace. Glorious father, with humility in his heart, turn him into a divine prince so that he may impart your favor to the world. Transform him into a river whose streams make glad the city of God; a holy place where the Most High dwells.  Always have mercy upon him, O God according to your unfailing love… In the Name of Jesus-Christ we pray…. AMEN

To say a prayer is to ask imploringly or to solicit a divine assistance. We usually pray about or for something in faith.
